This is a collection of background tiles. Tiles can be displayed repeatedly to create a patterned background that provides visual interest but utilizes less data space than a full sized image. The tiles offered here can be used as webpage backgrounds, computer screen desktop wallpaper, and as surface textures for 3d graphics. The images have been carefully created to provide seamless joints which disapear into the pattern. They are fun to create and offer a challenge to artists who wish to find ways to suggest the luxury of subtle variation while maintaining the ideal of designing image files that are small and efficient.
